Kirala Island Restaurant

Kirala island has some great views toward the Bolgoda lake. They have more than 2 decks covered by the lake which gives an amazing view and a good breeze. You don't need air conditioning as the place is itself is quite windy. Guess what! No CORKAGE FEE :D A perfect place to have a good party and enjoy the time.Staff is very friendly and dishes are cheap (Trust me it's cheaper than Colombo). Chasers are cheap, my advice is to buy a 1.5L bottle as it's cheap and reasonable.Tryout the restaurant and get a different experience. P.S - The boat ride is absolutely free of charge

Situated in panadura old road ( galkanuwa road,Gorakana). Very easy to access from Panadura. Reach to the island you have to go the kirala island jetty and they have a boat service. Their customer care is admirable. They send us a boat as soon as we called them. There is around 700m from jetty to Restaurant. There is a indoor restaurant and also few outdoor cabins. You can have lunch while enjoying the beautiful scenery out there. They have super delicious foods with reasonable prices. Finger foods also high quality. They supply a very quick service for their customers. Best place for a gateway. So calm and quiet beautiful island. It gives you a great vibe while spend time in this island. You all can have boat rides, swan boat rides at there. Cleanliness is good.Highly recommend for lunch outings

Loved the location! So secluded and calm, the lake just lulls you to sleep. It's that peaceful. Loved the food too! Pricing was good, about 1500- 2000 per person for a meal depending on what you order. Didn't expect the prices to be this affordable considering that it's in the middle of an island too... You get to ferry across the lake in a boat too! They even have Sri Lanka's first miniature train setup (still under construction) of the demodara track. Gorgeous and dainty piece of artwork.

Nice place to have some decent food at a decent price. They have accommodated boats to visit the island. There are 4 decks to enjoy the view while having your lunch/ dinner. They also arrange boat rides, jet ski rides as for your request. Staff was friendly as well.

The place was absolutely brilliant. The only reason for my visit on the day was to see the model railway track set up on the location. I have been here for a family function 17 years ago, and the place is very well developed by the new owner. Didn't have a bite to eat, so cannot comment on that, but the juice was exquisite. Thoroughly enjoyed the quick 3 minute boat rode from the main land to the island. The view on this little island is beyond words!

Kirala Island is a great resturent to go with your loved ones. It''s situated in panadura. If you are following google maps to reach this place, please search for Kirala island jetty instead of searching kirla island on google maps. Bcz it will bring you to a wrong locarion. You need to go to kirala island jetty to get the boat to the island. The boat ride is totally free to the island. If you want to go around the lake, they will charge 2000 for 30 minitues board ride. Their hospitality is really great. Right after we dropped from the island, a waiter came and asked us to select a cabin and he guided us to there. Really beautiful natural and calm environment. The food also worth for the price and very tasty. Can reccomend this place to anyone.

Best place to get away, relax and chill, beautiful island surrounded by the amazing bolgoda lake. 05 min boat ride to the island and the helmsman makesure to pick up drop you safely with inclusive of life jackets. The island ofcourse is beautiful, calm relax floating boats for dining or to have a beer with your buddies and also the island can be booked for private parties or occasions as well.Inside the island it includes the largest model train layout in Sri Lanka, modelled layouts of Ella and Demodara Stations. It's beautiful and really good opportunity to experience that especially for train enthusiasts.
